Introduction/Use
Sometimes we need to edit particles on a more personal basis than the usual parameters. This addons bakes particle locations/rotations into animated empties that can then be further tweaked and used by animators.
Installation
Refer to How to install Addons the file name is particlebaker.py.
Usage
First you need a particle system to bake! this can be any type of particle emmiter, hair has not been tested/verified to work though. Physics, SPH, Boids, or anything else is ok. Please note that baking a huge number of particles will bring blender to it's knees! the example I'm using has only 50 particles.
- With your emmitter selected, press the w key and select Bake Particles To Empties
- That's it.
